Reason enough to briefly report on them: The systems.camp Nord will take place in Hamburg on 11.11.2023 and the Tag des Systems Engineering (TdSE) on 15-17.11.2023 in Würzburg. I will be giving a presentation and a tutorial at TdSE.

systems.camp North

The most important first, All information about the event and registration of the systems.camp Nord. The last systems.camp in Hamburg took place after a long forced break: First came Corona and then a storm surge that caused water damage to the oose building. As a result, this year's event will take place in oose's new premises in Altona.

I have fond memories of the Hamburg systems.camp: On the one hand, because I was born in Hamburg and on the other hand, because I have been there a few times. had co-organized the camp. I'm sure it will be a great event.

Please help to promote systems.camp Nord, for example via the Share on LinkedIn >>

10 years systems.camp

The system.scamp took place for the first time in Cologne in 2013. A few years later, it was transferred to the GfSE, which has systematically built it up thanks to many volunteers. There are now four camps, which take place more or less evenly across Germany and throughout the year.

The venues of the systems.camp. This is the largest event of the Society for Systems Engineering (GfSE). The annual meeting for GfSE members will take place on the last day of TdSE. Further information is available here.

Many conferences are still suffering from the aftermath of Corona. I am delighted to not only finally be able to attend TdSE in person again this year, but also to have two activities on the agenda:

On 15.11. I will be holding the tutorial together with Siegmund Priglinger From the concept model via formal concept analysis (FCA) to the ontology of requirements. It may sound cumbersome, but it is an important topic. It is about modeling conceptual hierarchies in a way that is understandable and consistent for all departments involved. Conventional conceptual hierarchies are often not sufficient to comprehensively represent requirements, especially for complex system developments.

On 16.11. I will give the lecture AI as a mediator between humans and system models: the path to a "single source of truth" in systems engineering. I show how an alignment between human input and an internally managed system model could look like, in which the development system has its own understanding of "the truth" about the system to be developed. Here, of course, I also bring in the insights I have gained from the development of Semiant have won.

Conclusion

Those who are able to attend both events can consider themselves lucky.

And finally: Have I forgotten any important November systems engineering conferences? I didn't mean to, please add them in the comments.

This November, the Society for Systems Engineering (GfSE) is organizing two interesting events.
