The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination and improvement of systems engineering. In the meantime, it has developed into an international organization consisting of over 65 chapters. I myself am a member of the German chapter GfSE<\/a> and I am also active there myself, for example with lectures or as an organizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n INCOSE is actively trying to improve the world through systems engineering. The visions published here are remarkable. I have reported on the older visions here several times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A better world through a system-oriented approach.<\/p>INCOSE Vision<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Currently and mentioned in the report is the Vision 2035<\/a>. By publishing visions, the organization attempts to drive their realization. This vision triggers the Vision 2025, which I have already analyzed<\/a> from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The following is about the recently published Half-year report, which can be downloaded here<\/a>. The report is primarily about influence. After all, in order to realize its vision, the organization must continuously expand its reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An important mandate is the dissemination of knowledge and networking. In this area, INCOSE has launched a Career Center as a new product on the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Career Center is a job portal. On the one hand, portals always have a chicken-and-egg problem: such a portal has to reach a critical mass in order to attract enough interesting jobs and candidates. Secondly, portals are often watered down by postings from recruiters. At the moment there are over 5000 jobs to be found there, unfortunately not a single one of them in Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the area of networking and knowledge, new platforms and publications are constantly being added, which can be found on slide 3. Not listed in the report but very successful in Germany are the systems.camps<\/a>which also took place several times during the Corona period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The majority of members still come from the USA. This can be seen from both the Member Breakdown (slide 5) and the Institute for Technical Leadership (slide 2). This is why there is the Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiative, which aims to actively mobilize underrepresented groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, the half-year report is an advertisement for INCOSE. But that doesn't matter. In particular, the company is a non-profit organization and relies on voluntary, unpaid help, which is also mentioned on slide 5. In this respect, I can recommend membership to all readers.
